Beaufort Historic Tour - Walking tour of selected homes and gardens in Beaufort. (North Carolina's 3rd oldest town), which dates back to the 1600's. For those who like to ride, you can tour Beaufort aboard an authentic English double decker bus. |

North Carolina Maritime Museum - Large museum containing artifacts, books, and historic items on display citing Beaufort's historic sailing traditions. |

Fort Macon State Park - 60 acre state park with the center of attraction being the historic Civil War fort which guarded the entrance to Beaufort and Morehead cities. Fort Macon contains a Civil War artifact museum, a walking tour, and reenactment of battles during summer months. |

Cape Lookout Lighthouse - Scenic 100 year old lighthouse located on Cape Lookout National Seashore Park. |

North Carolina Aquarium Pine Knoll Shores - One of four North Carolina Aquariums, houses large fresh and salt water aquariums, touch tanks, display areas, and has several scenic trail walks. The aquarium has an auditorium that shows movies and slide presentations. |

Restaurants - There are numerous restaurants in the local area from fast food to fine evening dining. Both Beaufort and Morehead City feature waterfront dining. An evening dinner cruise is available aboard a boat from the Morehead waterfront. The Net House restaurant is located within walking distance of the Dive Lodge. This seafood restaurant was featured in a past Newsweek article on dining in the U.S. |
